“Welcome to the UK!” is a satirical visual narrative exploring the ‘realities’ of first generation South Asian immigrants living in the UK. It highlights the seemingly trivial but abundant adversities that migrants face in their daily lives that finally result in a phenomenon called ‘migration fatigue’. But having made the massive emotional and financial commitment to travel so far from home, the fatigue is juxtaposed by the forbidden fruit of greater opportunity.
