Interlude is a poster encapsulating my experience of traveling via the London Underground. London Underground is a space where the entire city comes together, hence as a migrant who has recently moved to London, it is an interesting place to observe people and their behavioral patterns which is, in a sense a reflection of the larger culture.

The term “Interlude” is defined as a ‘temporary amusement or diversion that contrasts with what goes before and after’ perfectly capturing the essence of my journey. This visual narrative is a collection of endearing moments and happy distractions that broke the monotony of time and space during my travels.

Constructing the image

The image is composed of various spaces that I frequent while travelling by the tube. There is an attempt to create a sense of repitition while drawing to emote monotony and overwhelm. These individual pieces are then designed to fit together like a puzzle guiding the viewer through a tapestry of different spaces and stories—all within a single frame.

Art on The Underground?

I imagine this work being placed back to where it originates from,  As a poster at an underground station.
